Random note: I LOVE Hawkgirl’s outfit in this series. I wish we saw more of the Hawk couple… I feel like their interaction with the team would be interesting and funny.

He looked at that boy, so eager to prove himself, so young and yet so ready to fight, and Dick felt his stomach sink a bit. He couldn’t help but wonder if there wasn’t really a back-up plan, if there wasn’t at least someone more mature to go with Team Gamma, just to make sure. It wasn’t like he didn’t trust Tim, it was just… it was his first serious mission, and he was too young to that.Sure, he himself had started much younger than Tim; at early age of nine he was already fighting crime - but back then the circumstances were different, he tried to tell himself, even though he knew it wasn’t quite true.
The truth was.. he saw so much of him on that boy, and yet nothing at all. Tim was much more careful, meticulous, not as carefree as the one that came before him - the Robin who flew away too soon - but they both had such a strong spark inside, so much potential.
He kept trying to tell himself that was why he had convinced Batman to take Tim under their custody. It wasn’t to fill an empty role, he said, but because the kid got guts.
Besides, Dick knew that place inside of him could never be filled by someone else.

You know Gar’s just like, “AHAHAHAHA DICK” on the inside but he doesn’t want to make him feel bad.
I like how Tim sort of scrunches up when Beast Boy points at him. “HE KNOWS MY NAME MUST HIDE TURTLE MODE”
I’m delighted at how timmish Tim is on this show. He’s more himself than he’s been in the comics since way back when Willingham took over “Robin”.
The face Gar makes when he says Dick. OMG.
This scene was perfection.
